WC Warm-up - England Opt to Bat Against Canada

Dhaka: England skipper Andrew Strauss won the toss and decided to bat first in a World Cup warm-up match against Canada in Bangladesh.

Kevin Pietersen, who normally bats at No. 4, opened the innings for England with skipper Strauss.

England included all-rounder Paul Collingwood and fast bowler Ajmal Shahzad, who both recovered from injuries.

Paceman Tim Bresnan, who has also been out with injury, was named as a substitute.

The Dhaka one-dayer is England's first official practice match ahead of the World Cup, which starts on Friday. Canada lost its first warm-up match to Bangladesh.
