The Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium is a cricket venue in Sri Lanka. It has seating capacity if 30000 seats and is situated in Dambulla, Rangiri in Sri Lanka. It is one of the newest cricket venues in Sri Lanka and is located in the North Central Province.
The stadium is built in a stunning location overlooking the Dambulla Tank and the Dambulla Rock. The inaugural One Day International match was played between Sri Lanka and England in March 2000. Floodlights were installed in 2003.
The pitch is still bowler friendly and helps the seamers in the morning because of the high water table and heavy sweating and in the afternoon for the spinners when the 22-yard track can crumble. The Stadium was constructed in only 167 days and has brilliant ground facilities.
