Points Table 2023 ICC World Cup

This aticles provides the information on ICC World Cup points table 2023 like -- total points of various one-day teams after every match. A total of 45 matches will played throughout the league stage of tournament. 10 teams werepart in the initial stages; the ten teams played each other once before the top four teams qualify for the semi-finals.

The following point system will be apply:

Win - 2 points
Tie or no result - 1 point
Loss - 0 points

In the event of teams finishing on equal points in its leage stage, the right to play in the semi-finals have decided in the following order of priority:

• The team with the most wins in the League matches were placed in the higher position.
• If there are teams with equal points and equal wins in the League matches then in such case the team with the higher net run rate in the League matches have placed in the higher position.
• If following the net run rate calculation above there are teams which were still equal, then the team with the higher number of wickets taken per balls bowled in the League matches in which results were achieved have placed in the higher position.
• If still equal, the team which was the winner of the head to head match played between them have placed in the higher position.

Semi Final

• If a Semi-Final is tied, the teams shall competed in a Super Over to determine which team progresses to the Final.
• If following a tie, weather conditions prevent the Super Over from being completed, or if the match is abandoned or a no result at the end of the reserve day, then the team which proceeds to the Final the team that finished in the higher position in the League Stage.

Final

• In the event of a tied final, the teams shall compete in a Super Over to determine which team is the winner.
• If following a tie, weather conditions prevent the Super Over from being completed, or if the match is abandoned or a no result at the end of the reserve day, the teams declared joint winners.
