The DLF IPL points table provides the latest updated information on total points of all 10 IPL teams after every match. The IPL 2011 points tally also highlights the standing, run rate, wins and loss of each team playing in the Indian Premier League season - 4.

Team divide into two groups, in group stage easy team played twice in same group and played one match with other group team. The season saw the addition of new teams: Pune Warriors and Kochi Tuskers Kerala.

Groups are

  • Group A - Deccan Chargers, Delhi Daredevils, Kings XI Punjab, Mumbai Indians and Pune Warriors India
  • Group B - Chennai Super Kings, Rajasthan Royals, Kochi Tuskers Kerala, Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bangalore 

Points are awarded in the group stage as follows:
Win 2 points
No result/Tie 1 point
Loss 0 points

A four-game layoff stage is held after the group stage.

Four games will be played in the playoffs:

  • Game A, between the teams ranked first and second in the group stage.
  • Game B, between the teams ranked third and fourth in the group stage.
  • Game C, between the loser of Game A and winner of Game B.
  • Final, between the winners of Games A and C.

The top three teams (Two finalists, and winner of the Eliminator) from the tournament qualify for the 2011 Champions League Twenty20. Due to the new playoff format, the qualifying teams will be the top two teams of the group stage and the winner of Game B in the playoff stage.
