India Women Booked semifinal berth with third consecutive win

India women 133 for8 (Shafali 46, Kerr 2-21, Mair 2-27) beat New Zealand women 129 for 6 (Kerr 34*, Martin 25) by four runs

Melbourne: In the women's T20 World Cup group match, the Indian team defeated New Zealand by four runs.

With this, India has secured a place in the semi-finals. In the match played in Melbourne on Thursday,

India lost the toss and scored 133 for 8.

In response, the New Zealand team could score 129 for 6. this is India's third consecutive victory in the tournament. In the first match, the team defeated Australia by 17 and then Bangladesh by 18 runs.

For India, opener and player of the match Shefali Verma scored the highest 46 runs and Tania Bhatia scored 23 runs.

At the same time, Amelia Kerr and Rosemary Marr took 2–2 wickets each for New Zealand. Captain Sophie Devine, Lee Tahuhu and Lag Kasperek had 1–1 success.
