CSA Reduced Wessels Role, Not to Travel for T20 WC

Johannesburg: Kepler Wessels will not travel with the South African team to the West Indies for the Twenty20 World Cup as his role as batting coach has been reduced by the Cricket Board.

However, Wessels would continue to act as a consultant with team when needed, coach Corrie van Zyl said.

"Wessels will still be a commentator for television, but we will involve him from time to time," Van Zyl told the Afrikaans daily Beeld here.

Zyl added that details of a contract with Wessels were still being discussed by Cricket South Africa.
