Sehwag Left Out; India to Bat

Colombo: Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni won the toss and decided to bat against Australia.

India made two changes, bringing in Ravichandran Ashwin and Zaheer Khan in place of Ashok Dinda and L Balaji. Dhoni stuck with his plans of playing five specialist bowlers as he decided not to get Virender Sehwag back in the squad.

India registered the comprehensive victory over England, thrashing the defending champions by 90 runs in their last league match.

The Indians will be worried about how to tackle the most dangerous opening pair in world cricket, Shane Watson and David Warner. They would also be concerned about how they will cope with a pace battery that comprises the likes of Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins, along with Watson himself.

Australia have also looked good in both their group league matches against Ireland and West Indies respectively.

The only problem for Australia will be its middle-order which hasn't been tested in the two matches which were single-handedly won by Watson.
