West Indies Opt to Bat; Edwards Return

Pallekele: West Indies skipper Darren Sammy won the toss and elected to bat against Sri Lanka in their ICC World Twenty20 Super Eight match in Kandy on Saturday.

Both teams make one change. West Indies squad Fidel Edwards comes in for Samuel Badree, while Rangana Herath replaces Akila Dananjaya in Sri Lankan squad.

After notching up contrasting wins in their opening Super Eight fixtures, a stern test awaits both the West Indies and Sri Lanka as both eye a semifinal berth.

West Indies edged out defending champions England by 15 runs in an exciting finish, while Sri Lanka won in dramatic fashion after a 'Super Over' was required to settle the clash with New Zealand on Thursday.
