Ireland v Sri Lanka, 2nd ODI, Dublin

Persistent Rainfall Forces Washout

Dublin:  The one-day international between Ireland and Sri Lanka at Clontarf on Thursday was abandoned because of persistent rain.

No play was possible at the Dublin venue in the second and final ODI between the teams this week.

The tourists secured a 79-run victory in the opener on Tuesday.

Sri Lanka made a modest 219-8 from their 50 overs but they impressed with the ball, bowling the Irish out for just 140 in 39.5 overs.
