Zimbabwe Opt to Bat Against South Africa

Potchefstroom: Zimbabwe captain Elton Chigumbura won the toss and decided to bat first in the second one-day international against South Africa at Senwes Park on Sunday.

Zimbabwe trail 1-0 in the three-match series and must win the second one-dayer if it is to take anything from its tour of South Africa. Zimbabwe lost the Twenty20 series 2-0.

Both teams made two changes for the match in Potchefstroom, north west South Africa. Zimbabwe called in Craig Ervine and Keith Dagenbwa in place of opening batsman Hamilton Masakadza and bowler Chris Mpofu.

The Proteas rested Johan Botha and Albie Morkel as they look to clinch the series. They are replaced by all-rounder Robin Peterson and left-arm seam bowler Lonwabo Tsotsobe.
