The 11th season of the Indian Premier League, abbreviated as Vivo IPL 2018, also known as IPL 11, was a Twenty20 cricket league currently playing. IPL established by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in 2007. The tournament features the eight teams, six played in the previous season and return of the Chennai Super Kings and the Rajasthan Royals after serving two years of suspension.

Star Sports bagged the media rights at Rs. 16,347.5 crore ($2.55 billion) for five years starting from 2018.

Mumbai Indians was the defending champion. Chennai Super Kings won by 8 wickets against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the final to win their third title.

Awards list:

  • Rishabh Pant was the Emerging Player of the season and most stylish player of the season.
  • Trent Boult wins the award for Best catch. That stunner to dismiss Virat Kohli.
  • Mumbai Indians win the Fair Play Award.
  • Sunil Narine wins the award for the season's best strike-rate and Most Valuable Player awards, also known as Man of the Series
  • Andrew Tye, of Kings XI Punjab, was awarded the Purple Cap for finishing as the leading wicket-taker of the tournament with 24 wickets.
  • Sunrisers Hyderabad captain Kane Williamson won the Orange Cap for the leading run-scorer of the tournament with 735 runs.
