Australia has been a part of the Champions Trophy since the year 1998, when it came into being as ICC KnockOut Trophy. However, until recently, they continued to face bad luck in the championship. Finally, in 2006 and 2009 ICC Champions Trophy, Australia managed to move ahead and claim the title.

Performance: In the debut tournament of ICC Champions Trophy, then known as KnockOut Trophy 1998, Australia lost its very first match only, which it played against India, and was out of the series.
2000 - Kenya

Performance: ICC Champions Trophy of 2000 also proved to be disappointing for the Australian cricket team. It again lost its very first match, that too against India only, by 20 runs and was out of the championship.
2002 - Sri Lanka

Performance: The year 20002 brought good news for Australia, as it won both of the matches in the group stage (against New Zealand and Bangladesh) of Champions Trophy and went on to the semi-finals. However, it lost the next game to Sri Lanka and missed the chance of playing in the finals.
2004 - England

Performance: ICC Champions Trophy 2004 saw Australia being successful in the initial matches, beating USA and New Zealand, to play in the semi-finals. However, it lost the subsequent match against England and lost the chance of competing for the trophy in the finals.
2006 - India

Performance: The 2006 edition of ICC Champions Trophy finally witnessed Australia being declared the champions. After winning against England, West Indies and India in the main round, the team went to the semi-finals, where it defeated New Zealand. Following this, Australia won the finals as well, after overcoming West Indies.
2009 - South Africa

Performance: The 2009 of ICC Champions Trophy Australia defends tilte and first team win champions trophy twice. After winning against West Indies, India match abandoned and win last gane in round against Pakistan on Last ball, the team went to the semi-finals, where it defeated England by 9-wickes. Following this, Australia won the finals as well, after overcoming Kiwis.
2013 - England
