The 2026 ICC T20 World Cup will be the 10th edition of the T20 World Cup. It is scheduled to be hosted by India and Sri Lanka from February to March 2026. India are the defending champions.
Total 20 teams will participate in the tournament.
Italy qualified for the T20 World Cup for the first time, which will also mark their debut in a major ICC tournament.
The 20 qualifying teams divided into four groups of five; the top two teams in each group will advance to the Super 8 round.
The groups are:
Group A: India (X1), Pakistan (Y3), United States, Netherlands, Namibia
Group B: Australia (X2), Sri Lanka (Y4), Zimbabwe, Ireland, Oman
Group C: England (Y1), West Indies (X3), Bangladesh, Nepal, Italy
Group D: New Zealand (Y2), South Africa (X4), Afghanistan, Canada, United Arab Emirates
